Día de los Muertos: Cacao Ceremony + Sound Bath
Celebrate the final day of Día de los Muertos with a remembrance ceremony. We’ll gather to build a community altar for ancestral offerings and enjoy group percussion with tambourines and shakers. The event will conclude with Huichol traditions, honoring the deer spirit Kauyumari and the life-force.

Inspired by the sacred traditions of the Huichol (Wixáritari) people, we invite you to explore the depths of their wisdom, centered around the revered deer spirit, Kauyumari.
In the heart of fall's embrace, we will honor the last day of *Días de los Muertos* (Day of the Dead), a time to remember and celebrate the lives of our ancestors and loved ones, including cherished pets and animals.
History
Día de los Muertos originated from the ancient pre-Hispanic civilizations of Mesoamerica, particularly the Aztec, Maya, and Toltec cultures. These indigenous groups practiced rituals honoring death and the deceased, believing that death was a natural phase in life’s cycle. When the Spanish colonized Mexico in the 16th century, these traditions merged with Catholic practices, such as All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, forming the modern-day celebration.
