The many reasons why Ayurveda has survived throughout the centuries and is still prevalent today is because the holistic approach to health. The natural science takes care of our physical, mental, and spiritual development throughout our life and helps use figure out the root cause of our physical and mental issues.
Ayurveda looks at every pain in the body as a signal and focuses on finding the root cause of the problem, rather than temporary "fixing" it with medications. Which we all know doesn't truly correct the issue. For example. if someone is suffering from migraines (although a physical symptom) the root cause can be a stressful work situation or complicated relationship. EVEN suppressing the feelings of grief can cause changes in the body at a cellular level, if its held for a long period of time, which! can possibly generate harmful tumors. I believe that at times we don't give ourselves enough credit for trusting our bodies and trusting what it is trying to tell us. But! once you do, you'll see how miracles our bodies are.
Sooooooo… ??? How does this relate to skin? Welll... ALOT! Your skin is basically the one organ that gives us warning signs that something is off. I like to think of it as the last notion. The hale marry. This is why, skincare/skin health is much more complicated than slathering products on. ALTHOUGH using the right products for your skin types and goals help with skin maintenance . It's not going to make a difference unless you figure out what's going on internally. I created this pretty awesome guide to help you through your dosha lifestyle adjustment!
